Wiring diagram for lazy people....

The DC wiring layout is driving me nuts. Everyone says "make a wiring diagram and it all evolves from there". Simpler solution, cardboard with boat plan, colored pins and wool. I pick up more pins and wool tomorrow.

Bilge paint and sweat.....

Good enough for July in Miami.

Training day.........

Today was to be bilge painting day but nature had alternate plans. TS "not so" Bonnie is heading our way. "Only" 50kts gusts and lots or rain but a good reminder that its Hurricane Season. Bilge painting was deferred and replaced with a secure the boat and lash everything down operation.

Time for all you "Up North" types to smile smugly, as we do, when your are up to your a$$ is snow.

(ps. my wife has informed me that no one in the US will get the ""not so" Bonnie"" reference. Please tell me she is wrong - Canadians, silence please/silence s'il vous plaƮt.)

Shower/sink sump, deck water tank install...

Reasonably neat, reasonably accessible, constructed of material that won't rot.

Nature abhors a vacuum...

Or in this case an empty space.

A long time ago I pulled out the original holding tank and the platform over it.

I then replaces the center fuel tank and was left with a nice space over it, forward of the ER. What to do? Putting back a holding tank was out of the question as access is difficult. But the space was too good to waste.

The solution is a 1" starboard platform which will hold a 12 gallon water tank (see the reason for this tank in the next post) and a Whale sump pump. The sump pump will take the drain water from the showers and possibly the fridge (if it has a drain).

Forward of this is the afore mentioned battery tray.

Sunrise over the Berry Islands...

Just back from a delivery of a Beneteau 42 from Miami to Nassau via the Berry Islands. Sometimes the 600+ days to the finish of this project looks waaaay too long.
