Leave a BLOODY loop........

I recently helped a friend on a quality (read expensive) sailboat to change out a faulty LPG control panel in his galley.  The first photo is of the control panel AFTER we had freed up the wires behind the panel.

On removing the screws the control panel would only move forward an inch and the wires were not accessible.  To access them we had to empty the wardrobe in the aft cabin AND;

1.  Remove the top panel, disconnecting the light.

2.  Remove the left hand shelf supports, which blocked the rear panel coming forward.

3.  Remove the rear panel.

4.  Then remove the side panel

5.  THEN REMOVE THE TWO CABLE TIES WHICH KEPT THE WIRES TIGHTLY COILED WHICH PREVENTED THE LPG CONTROL PANEL FROM BEING REPLACED FROM THE FRONT (which would have required ONLY the removal of 4 screws).

INSTALLERS; FFS LEAVE A BLOODY LOOP.
