Intercoastal Waterway Wildlife....

Intercoastal Waterway

My favourite motto;

"He who fights and runs away will live to run away another day"......works for me!!!
Boat is in Cape Canaveral, not too bad a trip from Ft. Lauderdale. First part in the ICW then outside, but slow in NE seas. She will do the rest of the trip on the back of a truck, hard to beat 60MPH on flat roads V. THIS at 4.5kts;
"The forecast for rest of week;

Wednesday;North winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 7 to 9 feet with a dominant period 10 seconds. Chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Wednesday Night;North winds 15 to 20 knots becoming northwest 10 to 15 knots after midnight. Seas 6 to 8 feet with a dominant period 10 seconds. Chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Thursday;North winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 5 to 6 feet. Chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Thursday Night; North winds 5 to 10 knots becoming west after midnight. Seas 4 to 5 feet. Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Friday;North winds 5 to 10 knots becoming northeast in the afternoon. Seas 3 to 4 feet. Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms."

Still, it was nice to be out on the water.

Renaming Ceremony......

At some stage we have to rename TIH. Having just looked at the long range Hurricane forecast we may hold off until Nov, after the hurricane season. When it comes to being a target I tend to heed Baldrick's advice.

Engine in....

This is what happens when you leave Jim E. unsupervised.
Things get done.

Final position will be raised approx. 5 ins. Everything else seems to fit.

Front view. H-Beam and chain lift will be setup (put not permanently installed) to allow the engine to be lifted off the mounts and moved aft to permit removal of transmission.

OPB

Working on other peoples boats.....

The dark side - vroom vroom.

No complaints, but I need to get back to mine before JE leaves the country. Two more weeks of the above and then a sailboat delivery to Norfolk (nice..). The back to TIH.
