The cobblers children syndrome....

I have been working on every boat except my own but at least I got to dry fit the new tanks in the bilge. They fit but the pipework will be the fun bit.

How are you planning to hold the fuel tanks in place?

Good question and its sort of a work in progress. 5200 between the haysite and the coosa stringers (the haysite will be 5200 to the base of the tank). Small coosa wedges on the sides (again with 5200) and possibly two aluminum bars across the top (more damn 5200). Will keep you updated.

Crowbars! Jam a bunch of crowbars around the sides! Either that, your wedges or perhaps a mold made in plastic bags with thickened epoxy for the bedding (mounted with our beloved 5200) and a glassed set of small stringers to mount fitted clamping bars on, with vertical bolts for a tight fit. They'll be quite secure and you'll also have the option of replacing the tanks easily. Make sure to bond it all well. Great seeing your boat come together, as well as you enjoying life! I'm filming videos and finishing a companion book on anchoring.
Cheers!
